LCPA is looking for seven volunteers to assist with the Wednesday 7 PM Partnering Class. Requirements: Male, 13 years or older. If you are interested, please contact Kalie Lasley at klasley@lasleycentre.com. Please subject the email "Partnering Class - Male Volunteer."

???? DID YOU KNOW ????

In this Partnering Class, a male student may increase:

Strength: This class can build strength by forcing the muscles to resist against a dancer's own body weight. Consider the muscle mass a male dancer develops by lifting his partner above his head!!!

Flexibility: This class begins with stretching exercises to help achieve a full range of motion for all the major muscle groups, so that muscles can flex and extend.

Endurance & Stamina: Lifting a partner is EXERCISE!!! Exercise increases endurance. Endurance is the ability of muscles to work hard for increasingly longer periods of time without fatigue therefore, elevating the heart rate which increases stamina.

Self-Confidence & Social Skills: This class may help to increase self-confidence and build social skills because dancing is a social activity. Studies have shown that strong social ties and socializing with friends contribute to high self-esteem and a positive outlook.
