Arsen was born in Moscow Russia and grew up with classical music beginning his piano and trumpet study at the age of 9. Arsen holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the prestigious Moscow Conservatory.

As a trumpet player he works with the Hot Lanes Big Band, Doc Scantlin Band and the Edward Kim Reynolds jazz quartet, and the Columbia station jazz club. In 2017 he completed the Gary Burton jazz improvisation course at the Berkeley College of Music.

As an accompanist Arsen works with Maryland Youth Ballet, and has accompanied for many major companies including Washington Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Mark Morris Dance Group, and many others.

He has had the pleasure to work with the Mt. Vernon Concert Band, Washington Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Tom Cunningham Jazz Orchestra, Imperial Palms Jazz Orchestra, American Balalaika Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Circus Band and many other jazz, rock, ska and reggae bands as well as classical orchestras.

We are pleased to welcome Arsen as a class accompanist, and gifted piano and trumpet instructor.
