Maryam Najafzada

Professional Credits: Azerbaijan State Opera & Ballet Theatre, Azerbaijan Musical Theatre

From Azerbaijan, Maryam brings extensive experience in ballet and character dance to the Lasley Centre. She was educated at the Baku State Choreographic Academy in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she trained in the Vaganova method of ballet and won awards and recognition at a variety of regional dance competitions and festivals. Since moving the Washington, D.C. area, she has taught and performed with numerous dance organizations including City Dance Center at Strathmore and Conservatory Ballet.
